Liudmila Shertsinger was born in Moscow and has lived in Franconia, Germany, since 2015, where the landscape, gardens, changing light, and seasons became an important source of inspiration and helped her develop her own artistic voice. Primarily self-taught, she works mainly in oil, using brushes and palette knives. Inspired by Impressionism, Italy and Franconia, flowers, the sea, and people, she seeks to capture the light and emotional impression of a moment. She is a member of the local artists’ association in Margetshöchheim and a regular participant in MainArt. What matters most to her is noticing the beauty of life and sharing it. At the heart of her painting is a simple thought: sorrow shared becomes lighter, while joy shared becomes greater. She hopes to create paintings that are a pleasure to live with — works one is happy to see again each morning.
