Roza Tarpagkou

Roza Tarpagkou, a Greek-French artist with a scientific background, creates evocative oil and acrylic paintings shaped by her artistic studies in France and knowledge of art history. Her practice moves between figurative and expressive approaches, united by light as a central element. In her collection "La Nature à travers mon regard" she draws inspiration from the Mediterranean landscapes of Greece and southern France and the French Alps, using expressive colour and free brushstrokes to transform nature through memory and emotion. "Architectures of Silence" collection explores places shaped by human presence yet captured in moments of absence, where geometry, perspective, reflections and light create spaces of stillness and contemplation. Across both collections, she seeks not simply to depict a place, but to convey its atmosphere, inviting the viewer into a world of calm, nostalgia and quiet emotion.
