About this artwork
picnic board with frame
The painter Géneau, in his figurative work, as in his abstract painting, favors the composition of the painting. In his “still lifes” the arrangement of elements, shapes and colors is harmoniously arranged. The composition of the painting whether pyramidal, asymmetrical, horizontal or vertical is rigorous with always a balance of values and colors. Light is taken into account and often benefits from the contrast of the background.… When it comes to a landscape background, the painter thins it out to give it more depth. For 50 years, Géneau's paintings have been the subject of more than 100 “personal” exhibitions (Europe, USA, Japan, China) www.geneau.com
