About this artwork
In my artwork, inspired by Caspar David Friedrich, I try to capture feelings of longing and deep connection to nature. The standing figure, surrounded by the vast, tranquil landscape, reflects an image of self-reflection and calm. Through the engraving technique, I enhance the intimate and timeless atmosphere. Andrea Finck is a contemporary painter with a background in archaeology and art history. Her work explores the themes of landscape, time, and cultural memory.
