Night Transit III explores movement through a dense field of intersecting gestures, layered color and abrupt changes in direction. Deep burgundy, black and cobalt create a dark underlying atmosphere, interrupted by passages of crimson, electric yellow-green, pale blue and orange. A dominant vertical red stroke anchors the composition while sweeping curves and fragmented linear marks move across and around it, producing a sense of crossings, pathways…
and continuous motion. Layers of exposed and partially obscured brushwork preserve the history of the painting’s construction, allowing structure and spontaneity to coexist across the surface.
