About this artwork
"The Ornament of Silence" is a monumental visual meditation by Dilorom Mamedova, where the ancient art of Central Asian weaving meets contemporary relief painting. This artwork reimagines a traditional oriental rug as a tactile, "sculpted" landscape.
Using her signature "3D Architectural Impasto" technique, Mamedova transforms the canvas into a complex topography. Each thread and geometric pattern is meticulously rendered with a palette knife, mimicking… the density and soul of a hand-woven textile. The weathered, vintage aesthetic suggests unseen layers of history and memory, turning a familiar household object into a silent, sacred geometry.
With its rich earth tones and intricate textures, this piece is a sophisticated statement for luxury interiors. It offers high Investment Art value for those seeking a fusion of Silk Road heritage and bold modern execution.
