About this artwork
In this work I have captured the lightness of life.
"Lightness of Being" explores the beauty of fleeting moments—those instants that often pass unnoticed yet shape our perception of the world. The hummingbird hawk-moth, hovering among blossoms, becomes a symbol of fragility, movement, and presence. The intense pink hue represents not only vibrancy and joie de vivre but also sensitivity and emotional depth. The fusion of realistic painting with a… gestural-abstract visual language creates a tension between the visible and the felt. The vibrant colors offer energy and joy, while the finely crafted details foster a sense of closeness and admiration for the beauty of nature. This painting brings harmony and positive energy to any room, inviting you to dream and marvel.

Ewa Mazur-Koj
Germany
Ewa Mazur-Koj is a Polish-born artist. After a formative period in Italy, she has lived and worked in Germany since 2004. Her work has been presented in national and international exhibitions in Europe, the USA, and Asia. In her paintings, she combines figuration and abstraction to create emotional spaces where body, memory, and identity enter into dialogue. The female body and experiences form her starting point, but her themes extend far beyond this. Identity, memory, and inner transformation are central to her work. Her figures are not portraits of specific people, but rather traces of human presence—open to the experiences and memories of the viewer. For Ewa Mazur-Koj, painting is a visual language that invites reflection, creates a connection with one's inner self, and awakens confidence.
