It's nap time on Île-Tudy and the shade of an old tamarisk tree is welcome.
At the edge of the shore, it throws its tortuous branches and its slender, luminous foliage towards the sky.
The Pouldon cove sleeps at this time and cradles a few boats and a small sailboat, well guarded by their buoys which shine in the sun in front of Chevalier Island and its large shady pines.
On the beach, the rock banks display their deep-hued algae and the dry sand… is delicately hemmed with small wavelets with bluish reflections.
The drawing which served as the basis for the painting was made on Monday May 29, 2023 at 3:00 p.m.
