About this artwork
In my "Women of the World" series, here is a geisha where traditional elegance meets contemporary graphic design.
This artwork, dominated by a vibrant green, vivid reds, and contrasting black and white, captivates with its strong visual impact. The floral details and intricately layered textile patterns are a blend of collage and acrylic paint; the textured touches and splashes evoke street art, creating a modern and contemporary painting.
This… artwork is ideal for furnishing a living room, office, or any trendy space seeking a striking centerpiece. It's perfect for lovers of modern art with Asian influences.

Françoise Schmidt paints primarily with acrylics, enriching her works with a variety of materials, drawing on her training in Strasbourg and a career in teaching. Her technique relies on mixing materials—sand, salt, paper—and oscillates between figurative and abstract art, in a constant search for balance and precision. Through successive layers and creative blending, she seeks to convey a sincere, intense, and introspective emotion, inviting viewers to explore the beauty and depth of human feelings.
