About this artwork
The last work created during my artist residency in Florence was 'the unintended flower bouquet in two parts (much loved)'. As in its sister works 'first impressions...' and 'the end of the road', it contains the Florentine colours that have become so typical for me - pink and green. Found in marble decorations on palaces, cathedrals and art objects, I was always drawn to soft colour palettes made up of these two primary colours. The colours and…
shapes give way to a joyful firework display, grounded by the fine linen canvas, freshened up by white and silver accents. A work that stays contentedly in the background and loses none of its liveliness.
For me, 'the unintended flower bouquet in two parts (much loved)' represents the completion, the end of an inspiring, enriching time in Italy. May its gentle beauty enrich a new home just as much.

Driven by the urge to understand the world, I translate my impressions into colors, shapes, and structures. As a work emerges, ambiguities are clarified, impressions are organized, and overwhelm is dispelled. I use colors to set the tone, while structures and shapes act like script, creating orientation and providing support. The goal is always to understand and find inner peace.
My color palette and motifs change depending on the location, resulting in multi-layered abstract paintings that oscillate between clear, geometric structures and free, flowing forms.
I live and work in Berlin, with exhibitions primarily in Germany and collectors all over the world.
