About this artwork
"Echo of Subtraction" is a rigorous yet deeply poetic work belonging to the historic series "Between canvas and wall". In this series, the artistic investigation shifts from the traditional surface of the canvas to the silent, liminal space that exists behind it, where the artwork dialogs directly with the architecture that hosts it.
Through a methodical process of detessitura (unweaving)—a genealogy of subtraction where the physical removal of threads… replaces the accumulation of material—the structure opens up to reveal the invisible. The artwork ceases to be a closed universe and becomes a porous diaphragm. Light filters through the empty spaces, projecting an "echo" onto the wall behind, transforming the hidden void into an active spatial element.
Rooted in the principles of Arte Analitica and Fiber Art, this piece embodies a meditative and silent tension. It is an invitation to look through the matter, discovering that what has been removed creates a powerful, vibrating presence o
« Art is a way to express oneself in joy and freedom, as well as the love for oneself and for others. »

For him, after having "given birth" to a piece, it assumes the property of change, just as in the natural environment.
