About this artwork
While driving through some deserted areas of the Utah countryside, I took this picture. The area was open range and there was no obvious reason for a fence there. The whole picture seemed a bit lonely and forlorn. I used watercolor and ink because I wanted to see if I could capture the raw atmosphere of the countryside.

Credentials
- Works on commission
Gunter Radinger is a self-taught painter working primarily with acrylics, pen, and ink, drawing on his early artistic beginnings in Germany and diverse life experiences. He employs expressive, realistic techniques to depict landscapes, especially those inspired by the tranquil expanses of Utah and the Southwestern US, yet he remains eclectic in his choice of subjects. Through his art, he passionately conveys a profound sense of peace, awe, and the simple joy of observing the marvels of the natural world.
