About this artwork
My sister-in-law and her husband visited Santorini, Greece and brought back a photo of this alley staircase. She was originally pictured in the photo. I used the alley as a venue for placing the woman. I think it is an atmosphere that simultaneously shows a present-day Greece and also a day gone by with the inclusion of the peasant woman.
