About this artwork
Before Becoming explores that fragile moment when a form is about to appear without yet allowing itself to be defined. After pushing matter to the limits of recognizability, I deliberately return here to indeterminacy — but without erasing what has been discovered along the way.
Light passes through color, presences emerge, condense, then dissolve before becoming objects. Some forms echo previous works, creating a continuity between appearance… and disappearance.
What interests me is precisely this intermediate state: the moment when something already exists, almost possesses a materiality, but remains open. A space before definition, before identity — before becoming.

A Czech-born painter living in France, she develops a figurative practice centered on the body as a site of inner transformation. Nourished by training in visual arts and fashion design, her painting—influenced by expressionism—blends anatomical rigor with instinctive gestures.
