About this artwork
During the corona period, I started my LandEscape series: abstract, imaginary landscapes born from memories of walks and moments of introspection. In a time of stillness and isolation, I returned in my mind to places where I had walked — open fields, changing skies, fragments of nature, and impressions that lingered.
Instead of depicting existing landscapes, these paintings translate emotional memories into layered forms, flowing brushstrokes, and… atmospheric fields of color. The landscapes exist somewhere between memory and imagination — spaces of silence, transformation, and contemplation.
Flowing soft green tones and earthy colors, combined with vibrant accents on Belgian double-woven linen canvas, create a sense of movement through an undefined landscape. It invites the viewer on a contemplative inner journey, where nature, emotion, and memory flow into one another.
