About this artwork
Route 66 through Williams, Arizona, began as a dirt street in the center of town that was later capped and then paved.
Williams is located on historic Route 66, between Seligman (79 kilometers west) and Flagstaff (55 kilometers east).
Williams is nicknamed the gateway to the Grand Canyon:
the national park is 85 kilometers to the north.
