It is a set formed by a painting and a sculpture. The main piece of the sculpture is a reproduction of a plastic rhinoceros that is represented in the oil painting on a small white and blue lacquered door.
In addition, a rubber band is stretched over three wooden sticks.
This work has multiple connotations, since Jesús Manuel used a wooden object as a base where pieces were inserted to be able to teach his son with Down syndrome to differentiate… between shapes and colors. The rhinoceros that is supported by the piece is the symbol of strength; the rubber bands on the sticks is the tension that was always generated in the face of the child's difficulties. At the same time, the kitchen cabinet door sets the whole in a domestic setting.
Monogram on the back of both objects.
It will be carefully packed.

Jesús Manuel Moreno is a Spanish artist whose works have been widely exhibited nationally, as well as in the United Kingdom, Germany, Italy, the United States, Greece, and Portugal. His art translates the "void and loneliness" of the contemporary human being. Most of his figurative compositions feature white backgrounds, which symbolize the absence of relationships between people. Moreno's expressive pieces are created using oils on canvas, wood, or linen.
