About this artwork
With Too Late, I explore the moment when control starts collapsing beneath appearance.
This piece was born from repeated conversations with viewers about aggression, danger, and instinct. But rather than representing violence directly, I became interested in the tension that exists just before everything shifts — that irreversible moment when the surface can no longer fully contain what lies underneath.
In the Social Myths series, I examine the… identities we construct to remain acceptable, desirable, and socially readable. I am interested in the fragile distance between composure and fracture.
The face here is intentionally unstable. The smile, the eye, the exposed teeth all seem suspended between attraction and threat. Through layers of acrylic, resin, and dense Posca linework, I create a vibrating structure where emotion feels trapped beneath the image.
With Too Late, I wanted the viewer to feel that something has already begun — even if no one wants to admit it yet.
