About this artwork
Autumn is often described as a time of fading light, of plants slowly dying and preparing for the sleep of winter and the deciduous tress becoming starkly bare. My experience of my favourite wetland during the fall is anything but lacking in colour; the trees with their changing leaves, the heathers, marsh grasses and rosehips become all tones of orange, yellow and red. The autumn sun is low but warm and the air is crisp and delightful!
