About this artwork
With Modern Icon, I portray masculinity not only as an expression of strength and luxury, but also as something sensual, elegant, and vulnerable. The body, the posture, and the luxury watch represent self-confidence and status, while the cat creates a soft, almost intimate counterpoint.
I am interested in the contrast between strength and tenderness, luxury and naturalness, toughness and sensuality. The expressive painting style intensifies this… tension and transforms the classic depiction of masculinity into a modern, emotional image.
