Part of the LINES series, BALANCE was inspired by the transition between two landscapes that became significant in my life: the vast desert horizons of Abu Dhabi and the gentle rolling countryside of the United Kingdom.
Reduced to its essential elements, the composition is built through a few simple horizontal bands that suggest land, sky, and the delicate line that separates and connects them. The minimalist structure invites contemplation, allowing… colour, proportion, and space to create a quiet emotional presence.
The title BALANCE reflects the sense of inner equilibrium evoked by these open landscapes. Rather than describing a specific place, the painting explores a state of harmony that emerges when movement, change, and belonging find a moment of resolution.
As with all works in the LINES series, the landscape is distilled to its simplest form, transforming the horizon into a meditation on space, stillness, and connection.

Lara Spadetto is an Italian contemporary visual artist based in the United Kingdom. With a background in Advertising Illustration from Milan, she developed an artistic practice exploring emotional transformation, memory, identity, and inner awareness through abstraction and mixed media.
Her work is characterized by layered textures, expressive color relationships, and intuitive yet reflective mark-making. Working primarily with acrylic and oil, she also experiments with watercolor, collage, natural pigments, sand, and other tactile materials to create immersive surfaces rich in emotional resonance and depth.
Her works have been exhibited internationally, including in Italy, Spain, Dubai, and Seoul, and are part of private collections worldwide. Through her art, Lara invites viewers into an intimate dialogue between emotion, perception, and inner experience.
