About this artwork
My series on Berlin's government district, commemorating the 30th anniversary of German reunification, naturally included the Federal Chancellery.
I waited for autumn to capture the vibrant red hues of the vines on the building's walls. It was very windy and cold, and despite wearing an anorak, I sometimes struggled to continue my work.
I was often photographed or asked about my series by the journalists who were waiting there for the politicians.
