About this artwork
This picture was one of the first taken in Berlin's government district in the summer of 2020, on the 30th anniversary of German reunification.
I always had to work at the same time in the morning to capture the special plays of light that the sun "painted" on the Reichstag building.
I liked the symbolism, the fact that the building, with its cheerful colors, stood out against the gray concrete wall. On the banks of the Spree, where so many people… lost their lives trying to reach the West, this motif has a very special meaning.
