About this artwork
In this work, I explore emotional transformation from a deeply intimate place. I paint this figure in a moment of pause and surrender, with eyes closed, as if allowing herself to feel without resistance.
The butterflies emerge and expand from within, representing that process of change, liberation, and rebirth that often occurs silently. I'm interested in capturing that moment when what hurts also transforms into something beautiful.
I work with… the contrast between cool and warm tones to reflect the duality between calm and intensity, between what is contained and what is finally released. Through expressive brushstrokes and layers of color, I seek to generate movement and guide the viewer's gaze through this emotional experience.
This work is, for me, an invitation to embrace vulnerability as an essential part of transformation.
