About this artwork

“Breakthrough” was created in 2022 during a period of intense artistic exploration of the theme of transformation. At the center of the work, a white vortex of light breaks through heavy layers of stone, earth, and deep blue – powerful, unstoppable, liberating. Dark rock structures in deep black and midnight blue frame this central moment of light, their contrast amplifying the energy of this new beginning. Warm ochre and rust-brown tones evoke weathered… stone and ancient earth – grounded, timeless. The lower half of the image opens into expansive, tranquil blues, like an ocean after a storm.
“Breakthrough” is more than an abstract image of nature – it is a universal metaphor for that crucial moment when what is stuck is released and something new emerges.
