Megan Archer, born in 1988 in New Zealand, is a painter and collage artist. Having studied painting at the University of Canterbury in New Zealand, she is currently living and working in Berlin, Germany. Her work explores concepts of identity and sexual intimacy in a world that relies so heavily on technology.
Technological Influence
Archer’s work is both a celebration and condemnation of technology and its ubiquitous influence on our identity and how we navigate sexual intimacy. In the same instant, social media and the internet are able to connect us yet still shroud us in a layer of falsity.
