About this artwork
Many layers of acrylic paint, each layer revealing a story. Infused with positive energy. Final layer of paint was applied using a sea sponge the size of a dime ! Giving it wonderful texture and revealing some of the colors of the original layers.
Have you ever laid on your back in nature and looked up at the sky ? This is what I felt that I was seeing when the painting was finished. Such a sense of peace and serenity. Imagine waking up every… morning and seeing this wonderful “Garden in the Sky”.
Of course, what this abstract painting will conjure up for you may have a totally different interpretation, something amazing that might be very personal and unique to you.

Monique J Dufour is a Canadian self-taught artist based in Spain, who has exhibited her work throughout the US, Canada, and Europe. Whilst on a trip to France in 2013, she picked up a paintbrush and never looked back, now busying herself daily with her luminous, intriguing abstract compositions.
