About this artwork
"Colorful Tentacles" is part of my Presences series, a collection dedicated to revealing the strength and uniqueness of animals through painting.
In this work, the octopus appears enveloped in an explosion of color that seeks to express its intelligence, capacity for transformation, and deep connection with the ocean.

I don't paint to fill walls. I paint to create connections.
The sea, women, and animals are my language for giving shape to emotions that often cannot find words.
In each work I explore the strength, calm, vulnerability and beauty of that which unites us as human beings.
I believe in an art that goes beyond decoration: an art that transforms a space, invites you to stop and remains in the life of whoever decides to make it their own.
I am Natalia Avondet, a Uruguayan artist based in Spain.
My work stems from observation, emotion, and the need to transform what I feel into images that can connect with others.
Each painting is an invitation to look, feel, and find something of oneself in it.
