About this artwork
"The Little Girl on the Bridge" is the work that gave birth to the Little Girl series.
By depicting my characters from behind, I deliberately leave their faces out of frame so that each person can project their own memories, emotions, or a part of their own story onto them.
I am not trying to tell a specific story. On the contrary, I want to leave room for silence and imagination, so that each viewer can construct their own interpretation.
The… bridge here becomes the symbol of a passage, of a suspended moment between childhood and the unknown. The little girl remains motionless, absorbed by what she contemplates, while the viewer is free to imagine what she sees, what she feels, or what awaits her.
With this first canvas, a series dedicated to childhood, memory, and silent emotions was born. Each of the works that make up this series invites the viewer to bring forth their own memories and establish an intimate dialogue with the image.
