About this artwork
Everything is beautiful in the ancient Breton town of Auray. The port, the intersection of small streets, kissing lovers and, of course, hydrangeas and roses. There are many of them, they are beautiful and different. In combination with the ancient architecture, they create stunning compositions.
This artwork is made by traditional technology. Oil paints, MDF and linseed oil. I love to write etudes from life in a bright impressionistic manner. Small… colorful strokes form a rainbow palette. I will try to convey the movement of air masses and the difference between illuminated and shady places.

Nicolai Ostapenco is an experienced painter from Moldova whose works have been featured in solo shows internationally. Born into a family of artists, he began creating at a young age and defined his current style in impressionist landscapes and fairytale inspired portraits. Working in oil, his paintings are characterized by bright color palettes and rich textures that bring depth to the canvas.
