About this artwork
When I painted Heavy with Life, I wasn't trying to paint a storm. I was painting that moment when life feels heavy, yet somewhere deep inside we sense that things are about to change.
This contemporary abstract painting explores the weight and movement of layered clouds, with shifting blues, whites and atmospheric tones creating depth and an expansive sky. I paint with layers of texture because life… is layered too. As the light changes, new colours and details appear, allowing the painting to reveal itself differently each time you look.
For me, this is a painting about hope that arrives before certainty. Even when we cannot yet see the answer, the light has already begun its journey.
I hope someone will live with this original artwork and, on the days when life feels heavy, remember that every storm carries the possibility of renewal.

I'm Rina Ritzi, and this is how my paintings begin.
I don't paint what I see as much as what I experience. Sometimes that experience whispers through light and atmosphere. Sometimes it dances through colour and emotion. Over time, those conversations found their own voices in my work: Where Light Whispers and Where Colour Dances.

For twenty-five years I worked in a world of numbers and precision. Painting became the place where curiosity, intuition and possibility could finally breathe.
If one of my paintings invites you to move a little closer, perhaps it has found its
