About this artwork
I searched for the horizon longer than anything else.
I knew it belonged there, but I didn't want it to interrupt the quiet conversation between the sea and the sky. I kept returning until it finally revealed where it wanted to be.
This contemporary abstract seascape brings together layers of blue, turquoise and luminous tones, creating a sense of flowing movement between water and sky. The horizon remains understated, allowing the atmosphere,… colour and subtle texture to carry the eye through the painting.
Little by little, I realised this painting wasn't asking me to look at the sea or the sky. It quietly invited me to notice what was bringing them together.
The light.
Quietly finding its way between sea and sky.
This painting first tapped me gently on the shoulder. It kept inviting me back.
