The boy’s eyes are almost closed, his face softened by something deeper than peace. His shirt blooms with yellow, red, and green, flowers flowing like whispers across fabric. Held gently in his arms, the iguana rests, still and ready. Cradled like a baby, but with the ancient patience of a creature who’s seen things—and maybe caused a few. The iguana doesn’t move, but you can tell—this is his best moment of the day. A scar traces the boy’s hand.… He wears it not with regret, but as the most honest expression of love—marked, felt, remembered. Just like this brilliant painting.
