About this artwork
A stark graphic collision between the monumental and the mundane. Set against a bold yellow field, a massive skeletal chair looms like a monument over a distorted landscape, while a solitary figure exists in complete indifference to the scale, reduced to a basic bodily function. The artwork explores the moment when absurdity ceases to shock and becomes a habituated reality.

Victor Trenev, a classically trained violinist and artist, works primarily with oils and acrylics, drawing on a rich background shaped by his musical journey and artistic heritage. His approach is deeply honest and intuitive, unconstrained by rigid labels, merging expressive brushwork with a sensitivity to rhythm and feeling. His paintings radiate raw sincerity and introspection, offering viewers a space for catharsis and a profound exploration of the human experience.
