About this artwork
I created WINGS OF TRANSFORMATION as a piece about change, but not as something soft or decorative. The butterfly appears as a living structure, built from copper-toned reliefs, dark matter and surfaces that react to light.
The wings contain resin fragments that intensify the reflections and give the artwork a shifting presence. Depending on the angle, the surface reveals new details, from mineral shadows to metallic flashes.
This work was made… on wood with acrylic paint, resin and silicone. The raised lines give the piece a physical tension, as if the wings were holding both movement and memory.
