« "Nature is a precious space, which always allows for discovering something new and reinterpreting memories. »
Painter Anett Münnich was born in Germany in 1961 and has been working as a freelance artist since 2005. Between 2010 and 2012, she took study trips to New York, Italy and Paris. Today the artist lives in Berlin, where she creates her abstract and natural acrylic paintings, paper works, collages and objects.
From Writing to Painting
After a career as a marketing expert and journalist, Anett Münnich decided to professionalize her passion for painting at the turn of the millennium. She appropriated this craft through academic study and study trips. Fascinated by the organic structures in nature, Anett Münnich examines traces of civilization on 500-year-old tree veterans and thus analyzes the relationship between man and nature.Lire la suite
The Love of the Forest and Nature Visualized in Pictures
The typical lines and forms of flora and landscape can clearly be recognized in Anett Münnich's works. The artist infuses her observations and memories of nature into her pictures. She compresses fine lines and surfaces into chaos, based on which she then develops the motif of a tree or a landscape. Viewers of her works are initially irritated by a color-intensive, abstract flood of information and only discover the carefully worked-out landscape shapes upon careful inspection.
A Dedicated Artist
Anett Münnich has displayed her works nationally in galleries in Berlin, Munich, Hamburg, Frankfurt/Oder, Dessau, Potsdam, Brandenburg and Rostock. Internationally, her works have been exhibited in Japan and Poland several times. She participates in various art projects and also works as a curator. Her pictures can be found in public and private collections. In 2013, Anett Münnich received the 1st Berlin Art Prize.Masquer
