German artist Lucia Maria Kaiser, born 1963 in Dohna, lives and works in Dresden and Cologne. She studied painting at the Alanus University Bonn between 1999 and 2003. In addition to her paintings, Lucia Maria Kaiser also designs church windows, glass objects and spatial concepts for private and public clients.
She makes pictures illuminate
Lucia Maria Kaiser finds inspiration in dealing with lighting moods. She transforms them into abstract landscapes and color spaces. Kaiser's use of colors lets her pictures shine from within. This touching effect of her pictures follows the tradition of Mark Rothko or, if it were to be translated into music, Arvo Pärt.
