About this artwork
This painting was born as the first sketch for another work ... I immediately liked how the work was coming and I continued it by incorporating purple and reddish magenta tones that I do not mind at all ... at first it seems only abstract but if you start to observe it better you see the plurality of people who live there, it almost seems to spy on them

Chiara Abbaticchio is an exciting Italian painter who has exhibited her work nationally. Constantly searching for unity between line and colour, she composes works that balance form and material with both vibrancy and harmony. Her themes include female subjects that appear soft and independent, and urban landscapes such as New York's iconic yellow taxis and and scenes of everyday life. The co-existence of these themes presents an overall image of a modern society - ours - that is defined by continuous movement between individuals and environments.
