An explosion of blue between cracks in the ice, a tribute to the silent power of the Arctic Ocean, to its remote and fragile beauty. Free brushstrokes and living matter tell the story of a world that fascinates and eludes.
Fusion and contrast intertwine in intense shades of blue and white. The free brushstrokes and textured textures evoke the vastness and mystery of an environment that enchants with its imposing beauty and, at the same time, reveals… its vulnerability. Each pictorial gesture seeks to capture the dynamic, almost musical essence of the waves beneath the icy surface. A sea rarely spoken of, yet captivating with its secret depths. Light and shadow, chiaroscuro, alternate like contrasting voices.
Two cracks in the ice release the power of blue—ultramarine and cobalt—opening a path through the ice floe. I wanted to capture a unique moment: the very concept of the sea, crystallized in the gesture.
