About this artwork
In this work we notice a human being moved by invisible strings, like a puppet, deprived of any personality, in an unreal space, with other figures behind him who, like mannequins, emanate all the restlessness of their empty existence.
I was inspired for this work during the Venice Carnival, I saw this mask covered in bandages, similar to a mummy, I took some photos, one of which I used for this painting (Atto Unico and the other for Bambole e Rifiuti),… both part of this series that I called Mannequins.
The technique is always the same: Mixed on a photographic base applied on canvas painted with enamel, oil and varnish colors. The work has been exhibited in important national exhibitions, and has been published several times in important magazines.

Ezio Ranaldi, is an artist born in Canosa di Puglia, in the Province of Bari, on May 23, 1948, where he lives and works. He has held many solo and group exhibitions in various cities, including Tarquinia, at the Etruscopolis Museum, in Ferrara at the Estense Castle, in Cannes in France, in Norwich in Great Britain, in Paris, in Bari, and in many other Italian locations. He has participated in various International Biennials including Rome, Florence, Ferrara, Lecce, Verona. Present in various Modern and Contemporary Art Fairs, including Padova Arte, ExpoArte in Bari, Artisti in Mostra in Parma, Artexpo in New York, Arte Salerno. Numerous prizes and awards. His works appear in public and private collections, as well as being published several times in catalogs and contemporary art magazines. Valuable critics have expressed themselves regarding his work.
