About this artwork
"Del los huesos la flor" is a sculpture that speaks of personal and collective grief, of the alchemical power of emotions, and of how even in the most arid landscapes, inner gardens can emerge.
This sculpture is a portrait of catharsis: that moment when pain ceases to be a burden and becomes a seed. The ephemeral nature of existence, represented by the skulls, gives way to the eternal nature of the symbol, where death ceases to be final and becomes… fertile. The flower that emerges from the human body suggests that only by looking at ourselves honestly, by confronting our own finitude, can we transform ourselves.

« The stories of each character, isolated in an intimate and personal dimension, are reflections on human values, perceptions and emotions. »
Francesca Dalla Benetta is an Italian sculptor based in Mexico. After 10 years working as a makeup artist in the film industry, Dalla Benetta is now a dedicated full-time artist. Her work is characterized by anatomies and mixed forms. Faces and human bodies are combined with different textures, skins and elements, giving rise to hybrid and fantastic beings. Through unusual, strange and surreal bodies, her pieces focus on the problems of transformation, identity, the sense of belonging, self-perception and dreams.
