Frequently asked questions

How much time does it take?
Each action—whether a portfolio review or curated collection—typically takes 15 to 30 minutes. You’re free to pause at any time if your schedule is full.
Portfolio reviews become available on a rolling basis. You’ll need to log in to your dashboard to check for new opportunities. Collections can be created anytime, at your own pace.

How do I get paid?
You’ll receive 15€ per completed portfolio review or curation. Payments are made by bank transfer at the beginning of each month for actions completed the previous month.
Singulart will either generate an invoice for you, or you can submit your own format if you prefer. All you need to do is provide your banking details (RIB/IBAN) when registering.

Do I need to promote Singulart or the artists publicly?
Each public curation must display at least the name of the curator. If desired, the curator may also choose to include the name of their affiliated gallery, which is encouraged but optional. Your contact details are never published without your consent.

What kind of artists will I review or curate?
You’ll be matched according to your preferences with a diverse range of artists, from emerging to established professionals. You can filter by medium and style to align with your gallery's interests. If a portfolio doesn’t resonate, you’re free to skip it.

Will the artists know I reviewed or curated their work?
Yes, your name will appear on both portfolio reviews and curations so the artist knows who provided feedback. However, your contact details remain private. If both parties consent, Singulart can facilitate contact.

Can I provide feedback in multiple languages?
Yes, but only in languages you speak fluently and that are listed in your profile settings, it must also match with the desired language of the artist. This ensures that the feedback remains clear and professional.

What happens after I submit a review or collection?
Portfolio reviews are sent directly to the artist, and a number of them are also audited by our artist team to ensure quality and consistency. Public collections may be featured on Singulart and in our marketing. Your input directly supports artists and builds your curatorial voice.

How do I sign up or get started?
Click the "Join Now" or "Get Started" button on this page. You’ll receive a short form, and once accepted, gain access to your Gallery Connect dashboard within a few days.

Can I stop participating at any time?
Yes, absolutely. The program is fully flexible. You can pause or stop at any time. However, once you accept a portfolio review, you have 7 days to complete it before it’s reassigned.

What are the requirements to join Gallery Connect?
To join, you must:

Singulart reserves the right to approve or decline applicants at anytime to ensure quality.

What happens if I go on vacation or need a break?
You’re under no obligation to complete reviews or curations at any time. Simply avoid accepting a portfolio if you can’t complete it within 7 days. You can pause your activity as needed.

Do I need to curate a minimum number of artworks?
Yes. Each curation must include at least 15 artworks to be eligible for payment. There is no maximum — you’re welcome to include more if you'd like.

Will I need to issue invoices?
Yes. You must have a legal status that allows you to issue invoices, either as a freelancer, business, or gallery entity. Singulart can generate the invoice for you or accept one in your own format.
