我16歲開始接觸水彩畫，當時我剛開始在哈德斯菲爾德建築學院學習建築。學生用水彩顏料為立面圖上色。我熱愛水彩畫，但我認為藝術界嚴重低估了它。
對我來說，直接體驗我要畫的人物非常重要。所以我會去欣賞風景，或是和模特兒見面，委託她畫肖像。
工作方法
雖然偶爾喜歡在戶外繪畫，但我的大部分作品都是在工作室裡完成的，我會跨坐在我特製的畫架上，用iMac螢幕上的圖像進行創作。我會用iPad相機，尤其是在肖像畫方面，我會充分利用它拍攝大量照片的能力，從中挑選出那些捕捉到輕鬆瞬間的佳作。
