Desert Hearts – curaduría de Anabel Zunino

Una curaduría de Anabel Zunino, Director en Galería Zunino – Few plants have as much character as the cactus. Built to survive where almost nothing else can, it stores water through long droughts, protects itself with spines and still, against all odds, manages to bloom. It is no surprise that artists have grown so fond of it. Beyond its striking shape, the cactus carries a quiet message about resilience, about holding on and finding a way to thrive in difficult conditions. Perhaps we feel drawn to the cactus because we see something of ourselves in it. It reminds us that toughness and tenderness can live side by side, and that even the prickliest exterior can hide a surprising flower.
