Abstract painting is like walking in a Chinese garden. I can choose any of the paths, but it does not depend on me what kind of landscape will appear in a couple of steps. What trees, flowers or a pond with water lilies will appear around… me. The situation appears unexpectedly and everything has its hidden meaning.
The color, texture and shape of the lines on the abstraction are a reflection of the artist's consciousness at the time of working on the painting. I draw what he feels at this moment. Spots and blots on the canvas give the opportunity for new ideas, they arise independently of the artist. Mistakes are a chance of diversity. Order reduces diversity.
Abstractionism is about the inner world. No one else will be able to repeat the picture.

Dmitry Spiros (b. 1971, Tashkent) is a painter based in Cancún, Mexico. Trained in classical easel painting, he developed a distinctive visual language built on palette-knife structures, chromatic tension, and layered surface construction.
While his earlier works were rooted in contemporary impressionism — including landscapes and light-driven compositions — his recent practice focuses primarily on the human figure. Within this body of work, Spiros operates through what he defines as Ornamental Expressionism.
In this approach, ornament is not decorative embellishment but structural force. Repetition, rhythmic pattern, and fragmentation become emotional architecture. Faces and figures emerge from dense painterly systems where color organizes presence and surface tension replaces anatomical precision.
His works are held in private collections across Europe, Japan, North America, and beyond.
