"Chuleta Risueña" belongs to the Immersive Chuletas subseries, being a concise example of the artist's Expanded Painting by merging the pictorial and the digital 3D.
The piece is built on an acrylic base depicting the trunk with a textile or bandage-like texture, a visual comment on the urban body. The upper chuleta shape is open, suggesting an expression of frank laughter or mockery under an open sky.
The technical innovation is the focus: the… central elements of the trunk and the chuleta are 3D-printed objects directly adhered to the canvas. These models were created in the Mixed Reality environment (OpenBrush VR), ensuring the trace of a virtual gesture.
