"Teen Selfie 25" addresses the complex relationship between exhibition and anonymity in contemporary digital identity.
The work freezes a typical social media image: a teenager taking a selfie in her underwear, concealing her face behind her mobile phone in front of a mirror. This encapsulates the paradox of privacy and self-exposure common among adolescents1.
The technical process is central to the narrative: the composition is translated into… a folded 3D portrait (OpenBrush), printed onto the 24x 30cm canvas, and finally intervened with manual gesture (acrylics, markers).
This layering of dimensions—the real, the virtual, and the painterly—underscores the fragility and complexity of adolescent identity in the image era.
