Evgeny Merman is een gepassioneerde Israëlische schilder die zijn werk heeft tentoongesteld in Israël, Oekraïne en China. Hij beschouwt zichzelf als een neo-expressionist en wil levensmomenten, mensen, verhalen en fragmenten van visuele informatie vastleggen in zijn olieverf. De kunstenaar transformeert beelden uit de echte wereld terwijl ze door hem heen gaan en ze worden zijn stille getuigenis: een kunstvoorwerp.
