Isabel Corthier, geboren in 1977 in België, is een documentair fotograaf gevestigd in Kaapstad, Zuid-Afrika. Haar fotografische werken zijn diep geïnvesteerd in het creëren van waardige, humaniserende representaties van gemeenschappen die zijn getroffen door politieke onrust of andere vormen van conflict. Haar werken zijn krachtige portretten van mensen in verschillende lagen van de bevolking, zowel intiem als volmondig in hun affectie.
