Mark De Roeck, met tientallen jaren ervaring in grafisch ontwerp en fotografie in Brussel, is een fotograaf met een sterke band met visuele verhalen. Geïnspireerd door de New Topographics Movement, vlakt zijn stijl landschappen af en abstraheert ze, waarbij hij bekende taferelen transformeert tot bijna schilderachtige composities van vlakken en lijnen. Zijn werk roept een stille contemplatie op en nodigt de kijker uit om even stil te staan en de over het hoofd geziene schoonheid en vluchtige momenten van de alledaagse omgeving te aanschouwen.
